Innovators Program
The POHER Innovators Program is an initiative within the Pan-African Organization for Health Education and Research (POHER) dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation among POHER Scholars and Alums.
It empowers emerging healthcare leaders to design and scale solutions addressing pressing health system challenges across Africa through mentorship and collaboration.
Global Innovation Exposure
POHER Innovators have actively engaged in global innovation platforms, including the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab Hackathon at the University of Cape Town in April 2025 and April 2026.
Real-world Impact
In 2026, the POHER team, POHER Neuro Nerds, earned third place, demonstrating the program’s ability to translate ideas into competitive, real-world solutions on international platforms.
