​The 5th Medical Research and Career Mentorship Symposium is an annual event held to promote research among medical students and young doctors who are the future of the health system. This year, Pan-African Organization for Health Education and Research (POHER) will host the symposium in collaboration with Copperbelt University School of Medicine (CBUSOM), and South Sudan Medical Students' Association (SSMSA).

The symposium also emphasizes the importance of mentorship and provides information on the various career paths in Medicine.

The theme for this year's symposium is: Effective Mentoring Towards Enhancing Research Integrity in Africa. It will be held on the 24th-25th of November 2023 as a hybrid event.
